Hi. Ive noticed this since my 970GTX if a change anisotropic filtering in NVidia control panel to x16 I get bad performance drops even on my new PC with a 1080GTX. If a game has anisotropic filtering in game options I also leave this at X16. If I have the Nvidia control panel anisotropic filtering to application and in game x16 then performance gets a lot better. If I turn off anisotropic filtering in game and turn on to X16 in NVidia control panel I get bad performance again.
The only thing is that if I have it in game only then the anisotropic filtering doesn't look as good. Why cant my 1080gtx handle NVidia control panel anisotropic filtering since the 970gtx and a complete new PC with a 1080gtx.?
