Been running Vista64 for a few months but after a recent mobo change i started getting random lockups and other issues like internet explorer freezing, IP helper stopped working messages and video files crashing media player when they play fine in VLC
So i bite the bullet and try a fresh install. What a nightmare - the install blue screened EVERY time i tried it, with everything at stock - quite annoying really. This was using a retail SP1 Home Premium disc.
So i go out and get an OEM 32bit version and it goes on 1st time like a dream, but at least i can see more RAM than i expected - 3Gb, i had expected less than that with having 2x768Mb VGA cards. So far not had a single crash or lockup. So why is 64bit visat ging me hassle when the 32 bit version isnt?
