Anno 1404 and 1701

I'm about to start playing Anno1404. I'm wondering if should play Anno 1701 first?

I never did. I just jumped straight into Anno 1404.

I'm just wonder if there is big difference beetwen those 2? You can buy 1701 very cheaply these days.

Theres quite a lot of difference in the mechanics of the game, the supplie chain from one item to another, the demands etc.

I would say if you can get 1701 for a nice cheap price give it a shot, I was playing it quite a lot in the runup to 1404, once that was released though I stopped playing 1701.

I already have the latest one but I will order older version as well
