Anno 1701 trade lane problems

I recently got hold of Anno 1701, and so far im loving it. Im doing pretty well, and the aristocrats are starting to arrive now. But a problem has started to emerge; My trade lanes keep stopping. For example I'll have a small cargo ship that goes to port A and picks up wood and takes it to port B, then takes chocolate from Port B and takes it to port A. Rinse and repeat. But all of a sudden the ships keep just sitting in port B not doing anything, despite there being loads of chocolate to transport. Any idea what is happening? Is it a bug? And when you click 'load', does it just mean load or does it mean fully load?

And finally, how do I get infinate mines? Is it possible?

Not sure on the first problem, I never had that.

When you set it to load goods it will have a slider on it, I think if you click the goods icon again it brings it up and you can change the amount to be loaded, by default it is maxed out at 40t.

Infinate mines need to be researched, n ot all resources are capable of being infinate, if you look around the islands you will notice two different resource icons. One which is just the resource and one which is the resource inside a little mining cart, the mining cart ones are infinate mines.

Its a shame they took infinate mines and things out of 1404, in 1404 every mine can be refilled for a cash fee .

It will take as much as it can and go straight away, it doesnt wait for the selected amount to be available.

Hopefully it will be changed in the addon pack. It was pretty good in 1701, you would try and scope out the best islands and the unlimited mines/resources and try and snatch them up. But now in 1404 you just have to have a positive balance and your good to go. It doesnt even cost more every time you do it I dont think, so one iron ore mine will keep you going forever.

Im thinking about going abck to 1701 for a bit but I love the 1404 harbors and walls to much, plus the gfx.

Have the odd issue with trade routes but a lot of the time its when yer main wharehouse is full ...bout trys to deliver but cant ..goes back to pickup town and cant load cause ship is still full .

If your shipping a lot of stuff set it to collect the max it can (120 on small ship ) and have 2 ships running the route but keep an eye on over supply

Ah, that might be the problem. Need to start offloading some stock to other islands.
