Anyone playing this game,

my god its so addictive. I've just totally destroyed the pirates (nearly lol). Got a huge civ going, fantastic economy, just wow, will send in some pics later.

Any other plays here?

just picked up a copy, seems good fun but having trouble getting a trade route to work, any help/advice welcome ta

It is very addictive. To set up a trade route you could be lazy and click on your shipyard and then set to sell some stock. One thing to remember is the slider on the right is how much you want left after selling not how much you want to sell.

If you have allies you can use the strategy map to create a trade route between your outposts.

Also colonise the islands early!! You really want to have all the ore mines tapped early ;) Trust me.

edit: playing long enough on a map will mean you'll have to go and conquer

ive gone back to doing the tutorial, and paying more attention to it :p

yes, very addictive game, reminds of the Patrician in ways but with tons more to do
my first problem was building too much and not keeping an eye on what my people wanted/needed

its basically a civ building game , you populate an island build up a town then try to balance your economy and growth
as you progress you can occupy other islands to develop diff types of goods ie tobacco, beer , cloth ,cannons, blah blah blah ...
sp or mp, make allegiances , trade routes , fight pirates , do missions etc etc

takes a few hrs of getting into it but its rewarding and makes time vanish , a good fun game (up to now)
