Just ordered it. Went for the retail version as installing the patch apparently removes the drm......

I had a few issues getting the cd-key from the retailer I purchased the game from (a very reputable, high-street retailed, I hastily add). When I ran the game a second time, it auto-patched and it didn't ask for a cd-key again - so that confirms the above!
