hi
currently have a64 3500
k8nsnxp mobo
2gig ram
looking to upgrade and could do with some help so many desisions.
would lilke something that would clock reasonably well, these i what i thaught so far
Intel Core 2 DUO E6600 "LGA775 Conroe" 2.40GHz (1066FSB) - Retail £167.99
(£197.39) £167.99
(£197.39)

Gainward BLISS GeForce 8800 GTS 640MB GDDR3 HDTV/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail £214.99
(£252.61) £214.99
(£252.61)
(unsure about this but this is the max that i can really spend)

OCZ 2GB (2 x 1GB) PC2-8500 1066MHz SLI-Ready Edition Dual Channel DDR2 (OCZ2N1066SR2GK) £144.99
(£170.36) £144.99
(£170.36)

have a 600w psu already that should cope reasonably well

but mainly need help with mobo, have 5 sata drives at moment so ideally i would like 6 ports without an expansion card, would be nice to have option to go sli at some point too.

any idears or pointer would be greatly appericated.

If you want the possibility of SLi then the Asus P5N-E 650 SLi is probably your best bet at ~£80, it is supposed to overclock nicely as well. The DS4 is very good but is Crossfire only. :)

asus p5b deluxe this doesnt support sli but lets be honest you dont wanna ever go down the sli route it is pointless when newer graphics cards are released every 6 months that will kill both your cards combined. SLI only adds like 25% more power and crossfire even less as far as i can remember

if sli isnt viable the ds4 seems good to go for, anyone know any problems to be aware of with this?

what about the gfx card?
any better/cheeper options?

thanx for help so far guys all helps in my desision!

i wpuld personally wait until the r600 is released which is only a very short time away then buy 8800gtx for the same money as what you can get a gts for now

also been thinking about

EVGA nForce 680 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard £149.99
(£176.24) £149.99
(£176.24)

and

BFG nForce 680 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard £149.99
(£176.24) £149.99
(£176.24)
idears?

I can recommend the BFG (see sig) but if I was buying now, I think I'd get a P5N 650 SLi and put the difference towards faster RAM, another hard disk or a GTX
