annoyin problem with internet

right, i got a pc here. and it can connect to my wireless router via both wired and wireless means. it gets an ip,it pings google, my router, etc.

but it will not open a webpage, ive tried internet explorer and a fresh installation of firefox.

i cant format it as ive lost the bloody windows disc. :mad:

how can i fix it b4 i go mad..
 
What are you using to get out on the t'interweb - FF, IE, Opera?
Do you have something like Zonealarm thats blocking browsing etc?

Just a starting point :)
 
Has it always been like this?

if not, Have you recently un/installed anything?

if not, Have you been messing around with any settings in control panel or your router configuration?

if not, Are you sure it's not the ISP's fault? can you access the internet on a different pc?
