Annoying 2 win 7 start up options on boot

As i said i have 2 win 7 start up options but only my ssd actually has my os on it i tried msconfig but it tells me when i delete the other option that

"system config cannot save the original boot config for later restoration.Boot changed will be reverted. The system cannot find the file specified"

Did you use your old drive as OS drive before?
You may need to do a full format, if you did.
Also, does the system show a 'system reserved partition', some 3gb or so?
Again if yes, you will have to use some software to remove it.

I normally just edit the boot.ini file and remove the offending os in the boot manager.
