Not sure how best to describe this but over the last week or two when you have the clutch at biting point the pedal is vibrating quite badly, it's like engine feedback. It's making clutch control reasonably difficult due to it, does it sound like the clutch is on the way out?

I've read some stuff where they infer this kind of probably could be down to a duff engine mount but there's no noticeable vibration other than through the clutch pedal and I'd have assumed the whole vehicle would be shaking if that were the case.

Sounds like clutch judder, on some cars its really common and nothing to worry about but it can be a sign of a worn out clutch.

Is it worse when you first drive the car or is it all the time through the journey?

It can be caused by moisture on the clutch disc in some cars, or a fluid leak or sometimes it can be the clutch diaphragm spring so it doesn't engage true so its more like this -|\- than this -||-

It's at its worst when you first drive it. I've checked the fluid level and it's not dropped at all (I've assumed it takes it from the brake fluid reservoir) and it's only suddenly started doing it in the last week or so.

Sorry, turns out it doesn't have a DMF. Clutch kits are around £85 from ECP so I'd probably get it done by an independent rather than suffer at the hands of our local Citroen dealer.
