Noticed when I switched monitor my motherboard now beeps on startup if I don't turn the monitor on first, the monitor kicks in eventually but obviously not fast enough for the motherboard.

It's the long beep and 3 shorts beeps. Is this normal? Seems kind of pointless. Anyway to disable it? it really doesn't serve any purpose.

Have you updated your motherboard BIOS ? X570 did have this issue on earlier bios versions. Where it would beep and then magically all was fine and monitor kicks in.

Update your motherboard BIOS to rule that out.

IIRC that's the video error sequence. You can turn post beep off in bios normally. No idea how to properly fix it though, maybe just fixed to the firmware on the board.

The only newer bios is in beta... guess I just have live with it for now.

Not a major issue, just annoying as there's nothing wrong.

Yeah mine does that, if the monitor is a bit slow to wake up I get the beeps (also using an Asus mobo). Strangely it never does it when I'm connected via HDMI, only occurs using displayport (which is 99.9% of the time).
