This has been happening more and more often lately and now it tends to be every other boot.

I power the wifes pc up-and as it starts to POST it comes up with a error.
It usually takes 3 or 4 resets before it stops with the error and boots normally.

The error is:

BIOS ROM CHECKSUM ERROR

Detecting floppy drive A media...

INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER.

I dont know why its doing it,if you could shed any light it would be appreciated.

Its the wifes 2.4Ghz celery-with some cheap generic mobo;)

Thanks in advance!

I had problems like this a while back and it was the motherboard battery.

Worth a try.

*EDIT* If that doesn't work then you could be looking at a faulty bios chip.
