Annoying chipset cooler

Hello guys,

I have moved all my components to a new Lian Li PC-7 Plus case. My motherboard is a MSI Neo4 Platinum rev1.0 and the problem is that my graphics card (a 7950GX2) goes over the chipset cooler.

I have seen some of the passive solutions provided by Zalman but I need something that has a lower profile than the ZM-NB47J or ZM-NBF47.

Any ideas anyone?

aye, i have one of those myself... on my broken motherboard...

It was great whilst it was working, silent and knocked about 5*C off my idle/load temps

No, it's not. It's a bargain. It's massive, passive and does the job properly. Once you get it you'll realise what a complete work of art it is. The Zalman coolers are relatively cheap, but they are just aluminium castings. This a proper 70mm twin heatpipe cooler. You could probably cool your CPU with it, so not only will you get to play with that 7950GX2, but the overclocking should be easier too. Big win all round. And OcUK have pretty aggressive pricing on Thermalright at the moment.

C'mon dude! OK - so you're not going to buy it from OcUK, but you don't need to blab about it.

I will buy first from OcUK, but if the price is silly or they are out of stock, or they just can't/won't/don't stock what I want I'll go elsewhere. I try not to brag about it too much though.
 
Hi guys

Asked Thermalright and they have told me my mobo is not compatible with the HR05 SLI or the other one.

Any other solutions?

About OCuk, I buy here most of the time (bought my lian li, dvd drive, computer parts for the past 3 times) I am only going to order something from next door because I can walk in and get it!! :)
