Does anyone have a colleague that really really winds you up? There's a guy here who goes on and on about any old rubbish, not realising that none of us are interested and stopped listening ages ago...he's also extremely enthusiatic about his work, which is a good thing I guess (we work on a help desk) but if he fixes someones problem, he feels the need to explain to us all exactly how he did it in great detail. He also finds the most minor of things absolutely hilarious and expects us to laugh along with him.

I'm having a bit of a rubbish day and am in a bit of a mood, so just needed to vent!

Tell us about your annoying colleagues here! :D

My only real annoyance in my ofice is that certain type of woman, usualy as wide as they are tall and decorate their desks with cuddly toys and pictures of their kids, sit there all day talking about their children, their garden or some stupid TV show and expect other people to care.

It's an office you morons!

I can not stand people who act in an office they way they would act if they were having tea at a friends house, try a bit of proffessionalism for once.

100% with you on this.

I have only been in my job for 6 months and don't find anyone annoying yet. Really enjoying it and today me and the other new starter are taking everyone to the pub.

People that phone up to renegotiate their telephone/Sky Digital/ISP/whatever subscription or whatever, not in their lunch break, really **** me off. But he's gone now :p

Everyone here farts a lot, swears a lot, laughs really loudly, stands around discussing page 3 for ages.

I absolutley love it.

People with ear infections who spend the entire shift playing with said infection and not once washing their hands all the while continuing to use the touch screen tills :(

I work with the rudest, most blunt and ungrateful **** I've ever met (there is rhyming cuplet in there somewhere mwahaha), we've coined him Zoidberg because the hair moustache over his top lip hangs over it like the Futurama character's tentacles.

A list of his traits:

1) Dumping priority tickets on you at 4.30 as he has to go home.
2) Never thanking you for doing anything for him.
3) Expectations to do things for him.
4) Talks loudly on the phone, treats caller like they're an idiot.
5) Talks down and rudely to people, like they're idiots.
6) Most recently, turning his phone off when he was primary on call so it tripped over to the backups as he was "busy". When I did the same thing to him to see his reaction (generated a call myself), he had the audacity to mail me and ask my why I didn't answer my phone.

In short the guy is a complete goon, how he's survived so long in a customer facing environment I'll never know.

I probably am that really annoying colleague! I chirp on all day about football mainly (fair enough everyone around me loves football too). :p

however, what really annoys me is as above; the loud mouth, big girl in the office (which every one has one), who feels the need to tell everyone within a 1 mile radius about every last detail of their life.

There's one women in our office and she dislikes wind (I drink a lot of water and chew gum, I burp in my throad but with mouth closed) or 'man talk'.

Thanks to the overly PC world we live in, I can't tell her to "shut the hell up" or "live with it, we're men" and of course "if you don't like it, there's a kitchen in the staff room"!

She also keeps turning the A/C dial up a few notches, why doesn't she just put a cardy on ffs?

Is slapping a women at work for touching an A/C dial 'gross missconduct'? :p

I think I probably agree with her on the not-wanting-to-hear-"man talk" bit - she has every right to not have to listen to whatever unsavoury things you want to talk about with the other "blokes".

Why can't you tell her to shut up?

I don't think I'd want to listen to 'man talk' all day either. Luckily, the men I work with only ever talk about cricket and golf, which I can deal with.

Pretty sure I wouldn't appreciate some of that stuff if I were at work ..

Im lucky, i can use a MP3 player at work so i usally turn that up if they are getting annoying lol. Just need to keep an eye out incase someone needs me to respond :p

Most the work critical comunications are done via email here anyways.

You are not the only one, I have to put up with an army of them on a daily basis, in three seperate locations in the country.

Luckily about 65% of my job is spent driving so I don't have to deal with them face to face for that long.

You sound a bit of a tool.

We used to have a real whore working here.

Every weekday she'd go out, so she was constantly late and "feeling rough". She also used to go through men like it was an olympic sport and bore the office to death about her latest triumph.

Now, I have no objections to going out and having a laugh.. but there's only so many times that you can listen to the same old "why don't they stay with me" sob stories. (Every partner she got with left her because she was so untrustworthy and couldn't control her partying.)

She just didn't see the error of her ways, and I'd lost interest trying to tell steer her in to the right direction.
