Hey guys,

Currently having some irritating issues with a recent build, the system randomly freezes or bsod at least twice a day.

Not over-clocked or anything and it sits at 27c idle and have only ever seen it reach 38c at the maximum.

Specs are

  • Antec TruePower 650W Modular PSU
  • Intel Core i5 2500K 3.3GH
  • Corsair 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600MHz
  • Windows 7 Professional 64bit
  • Hyper 212 Plus Cooler

Any help or advice would be much appreciated, Thank You

is there a bios update available for your motherboard ?

have you checked the event log/dump files for any clues ?

all drivers up to date ?

Yeah bios is up to date on latest version and drivers are up to date also but i'm not sure on how to analyse the dump files?

That looks like one I get occasionally

How hard is it to update the bios? I was told it can be dodgy which put me off...

fairly certain (if you still have the mobo in your sig) it has CrashFree BIOS 3, which will help if you have problems.

can do it via cd/usb stick , or i go into safe mode and update via the windows app, entirely up to you which option you pick.

bit difficult to read as print is to small for my eyesight (stupid eyes :() but can see an indication of vista_driver_fault any chance you can post a link to a bigger pic for easier viewing ?

Someones solution

I went to Intel's web site and downloaded a newer driver, Intel HD Graphics 15.22.50.2509 64-bit , for the integrated graphics processor and I now have stability! This graphics driver is not available on the Asus site, you have to go to Intel to get it.

Thanks I've just updated the integrated Intel HD driver but don't think that will be the issue

I did it during the bios at start using the ASUS EZ Flash 2

Was really simple and all went perfect. there was about 4 updates from the version i have, 2 of which has system stability updates so should fix my problem :D thanks dude!!

What temps are you getting on your cpu?
Also, try maybe 1.1v VTT instead of the default 1.05
Set RAM voltage to 1.525v

Might be a RAM issue, 101 has usually been memory related in my experience.
