Annoying crisp noise

Since a few days my computer speakers are making annoying crisp noise. It happens everytime I play a sound. I've plugged earphones and I still can hear that noise.
When a music is playing and I push Pause, the sound continues, but stops when I press Stop.

What is causing this?

Turned out to be only on my computer, so I've edited the post.

Any help guys?

That's a very odd noise :confused:

Could be any number of things I guess.
Check for a loose connection on your speakers, or try another set of speakers if you can.

What does your setup consist of?

there is a lot on the crackling noises about the xifi on google...if thats what you have...google it
