Annoying EA/XBox Live problem....

Currently trying to play Fight Night Round 3 and FIFA WC 2006 online but experiencing some problems.

Everytime I go to the XBox Live in game menu I get this message:

Signing in to the EA servers....

After a few seconds:

The EA Server is not available at this time. Please try again later.

The weird thing is all the other games I play over Live (PGR3, GRAW, PDZ) work flawlessly without a single problem.

Thinking my router might be to blame, I bypassed it completely and connected my NTL cable modem directly to the console. Still the same problem!

I've also created another gamertag thinking my current one may be corrupt or something but again, still the same problem!

I'm running out of ideas as to whats causing it. Anyone have any ideas?

You speak from personal experience?

Never got round to playing FN3 online even though I've had it for a while. It was only until I got FIFA that I decided to try both online to play my mates with no luck.:(

Are you sure the EA servers aren't just down at the moment... like the error message says?

Thanks Microsoft for making a deal with EA for their excellent and dedicated Live support

It was either that or no EA games online on the Xbox/360.. surely it's EA that should get the

Don't think the EA servers have been down for over 2 weeks tbh. :p
Ah, sorry, didn't realise it had been so long - your post made it sound like you only just tried it :)

Update on this problem.

Been in contact with EA regarding the problem and at first they suggested the usual (connect 360 directly to modem, port forwarding etc).

They then suggested to sign out of my live account and change the date of the console in the settings from 2006 to 2005.

Lo and behold, it works! :D

There was me about to slate EA and refuse never to buy their products again.... :p

*GASP* EA support actually have something worthwhile to say?!

Although I am not sure I understand this. When you connect to Live, that automatically sets the time and date on your console. How does changing the date offline fix the problem

I can't get my head round it either.

When signed out, I set it to 2005 and then when I sign back in again the correct date/time is set. I assume the date/time is set automatically by an online server.

How it fixes the problem, I have no idea.

So anyone know of a good case for the DS lite? I will put needing to put mine in my pocket at work for long periods of sciving off. Any good ones?
