Annoying flicker with Vista RC1

Hi guys,

All was going well and I installed DX9 now I have a screen flicker??

Anyone seen this issue?

Had a google but didn't see anything

using a CRT monitor right?

change the refresh rate to something higher possibly 85hz, depends what your monitor can support

why did you install DX9 for? doesnt Vista come with DX10? (could be wrong)

you still need the latest dx9 updates for some games. for example, flatout2 doesn't work in vista unless you install the dx9 package on the game dvd.

Lol I know force of XP habit I guess, fresh installed now sa it only too 15mins and I hadn't done too much installing

not too sure if it comes with 10 though? Anyone know a good free antivirus to compliment vista?

Edit: did fresh install and flickers has come come back again

think I may go back to XP pro for the time being lol.....boohoo

Sorted it, updated graphics card driver within device manager and its fine now!!
