Annoying "lines"

This has been bugging me for a couple of weeks.

I bought my Acer AL1916W about 6 or 7 months ago, and have had zero problems with it up to the this point.

This problem is noticeable when browsing OcUK forums, and I haven't noticed it at any other point. It may be to do with the blue coloured background.

Anywhere that is blue has these subtle diagonal lines that go from the bottom left to top right, and seem to flicker at a high frequency. As I said, the effect is very subtle and I at first thought I was imagining it, but it' definitely there. I can't capture it with my camera - it won't pick it up.

Perhpaps it's an issue with refresh rates or something, I dunno.

Any ideas how I could fix this annoying "quirk"?

make sure you're running at 60Hz refresh rate, maybe check it on another PC, check the cables etc?

Very strange!

I have this, except it is horizontal lines that go from top to bottom (but it does it eleswhere on other sites, backgrounds, etc). I think my TFT is on it's last legs. It's very subtle also, kind of like a refresh rate problem, but it also occurs in my games now. I've put in a new graphics card and it's still happening. I don't want to be the one to say it but perhaps your TFT has developed a fault.

Hmm, the problem appears to have vanished mysteriously. Most odd...

Thanks anyway guys. If it happens again, I'll fiddle with refresh rates.
