Annoying Neighbours

I always try to keep the peace and never start trouble or cause problems but I've got limits to how far things can go before I kick off.

What about you? What flicks your switch to the point you will go and bang on a neighbours door and complain?

If you're kicking off and "have limits" are they having issues with you they don't feel they can approach you with, so they don't care if what they do affects you.

Round here if something bothers us we just knock on the door and let them know. People are fine with being informed and stop doing whatever the annoying thing is.

Okay, here's the problem.
I live in a small block with 4 flats downstairs and 4 flats upstairs. The downstairs residents are all normal but the upstairs neighbours are a bit rowdy and seem to have created their own little family and they spend their days sat in the corridor/landing talking and drinking everyday and often having very loud arguments. I've been up the stairs once and made my presence known and tbh I could kick the crap out of all of them and I think they know who the "alpha" is in this building as they don't mess with me ever but they are definitely not "normal" people to try and have a reasonable disagreement with.

I've noticed recently that they have started smoking from the upstairs landing window and flicking ciggy butts out so now the main building entrance looks disgusting and there's hundreds of ciggy butts on the floor. I'm on the verge of saying something and warning them about what's going to happen next if I have to go and clean up their mess but I'm also aware that doing that will probably start a war and I'll be outnumbered as they've got lots of friends that visit this building everyday and they all know which car I own too.

Well short of them moving, or you moving it will probably not improve,people like that don't change.

So what do you think I should do? Do I speak up about this problem and lay down the law or do I just say nothing and put up with their scummy behaviour?

Well, as you may or may not know, my new neighbour is a tiktok bellwhiff running a pyramid scheme thing.

Live streams from approx midnight u till 4am.

Ive had words with him about his shout n stuff and he has quietened down a bit but it still wakes me up.

Had more words with him last week but it's close to me being a d*ck, laying down the law, being a bit more verbally forceful and contacting the council.

He has his tiktok "agency" registered to his home address.
The "quiet hours" set by the council are 22:00 - 07:00.
So, the noise he makes can be classed as both Domestic and Commercial/Industrial which the council will jump at the chance to sort out because it'll be an easy job.... I'm hoping.

It's tricky trying to be fair with morons isn't it !

Have you seen the other threads op has created? The reason his post count is on 4, is because he has only said 4 useful things, and everything else is pointless spam

The reason my post count is 4 (not that it matters) is because I only joined the site recently and I'm not a post whore that needs to try and get involved in every topic. I've only posted in general so far and those posts don't log anymore do they so that's why my count isn't changing so far. I don't how anything I've said is spam or why you seem to have a problem with me but maybe consider that some people just want an occasional random chat and they don't need to try and prove themselves by always trying to give advice and lecturing other members about their posts and opinions.

LOL...It was never going to get to the fistycuffs stage and I haven't challenged anyone yet but I'm keeping an eye on the situation and hoping one of them does the decent thing soon and tidys' up the mess before I start posting letters and putting signs up on the main doors and the corridors . I just want an easy life with no drama so I'm keeping quiet for now.
