Hello,

System Spec:
Asus Rampage II Extreme Intel X58
Intel Core i7 920 D0 Stepping (SLBEJ) 2.66Ghz (Nehalem) (Socket LGA1366)
G.Skill Trident "Low Latency" 6GB (3x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C6 1600MHz Triple Channel Kit
ATI Radeon 4870x2
Corsair Extreme X128 128GB 2.5" SATA-II Solid State Hard Drive
be quiet! dark power pro 750w

The problem is sometimes the PC boots fine and everything runs perfectly with a display and other times i get the following Beeps - Beeeeeep Beep Beep Beep which im pretty sure means "No VGA Detected" how is that possible when sometimes it works? All cables are connected correctly.

The really weird thing is that after these set of Beeps the computer continues to boot but without a display and windows etc loads because when i turn speakers on i can hear it load but there just isnt a display.

I actually had this problem on my previous PC and it was one of the reasons why i decided to upgrade to the above spec. Sometimes there were 3 red lights on the far right of the graphics cards which im pretty sure indicates a Power Issue but i have tried 2 high quality PSUs where the other one was an Enermax Liberty 620w and i have also tried another graphics card, a 8800GTX .

Really struggling to work this out and its ****ing me off because i run an online business and i need this computer working. Im writing this post on my laptop atm.

Look forward to any replies.

Nick

Try reseating everything, and make sure cables are plugged in. It's not a great suggestion, but a loose connection is the first thing that came to mind.

This happend on my last Asus board which was a Asus P5K Premium Wi-Fi and the motherboard im now using is a brand new Asus Rampage II Extreme

Asus related problem?

have you tested everything graphics, ram etc in another pc? Tried just leaving 1 stick of ram in? unplugging all non essentials cd drives, second hard drives.

faulty display card ? .... check to see if its not bent ...... and also take the screw out thats holding it in ,, cos sometimes u get funny case that push the cards down to much causing the bord to bend ?

Didn't boot this morning again with same Beeps but then i pressed Reset instead of holding Power Button for Shut Down and it booted, really really weird :o
