Washed/Waxed my car (VW Scirocco Indium Grey) today, over the years it has picked up some scratches and small dings.

It came up lovely, albeit has picked up a scrape and small dent or two, brushed a twig, shopping trolley, mainly fine line scratches or small dents.

Tried Autoglym Wax for the scratches, sadly the scrapes are too deep. Dents resigned as is.

Been debating whether to take it to a body shop, ask VW (as due a service shortly) or a Man in a Van etc.

Very interested to ask what does everyone recommend?

If the scratches don't go right down to primer or metal then use a cutting compound, or wet sand and then use a cutting compound.

If they do, then get some smart repairs done.

As for the dents, I'd just get a PDR man in van to do them.

Video tutorials on wet sanding and / or cutting back paint will probably be more useful than me trying to explain it in blue and white. :)

I personally like Meguiars 105 cutting compound. 3M fast cut is good too.
