Annoying Sounds in XP!!!

Hi guys, yet again my computer seems to have a mind of its own, and has turned on the annoying click sound whenever I open a folder in My Computer, or whenever I click on something in IE. For the life of me I can't remember how to turn it off! Can you help?

Control Panel, Sounds, Sound Scheme, Select No Sounds.

Yes but then that will disable all my other sounds, like when Windows starts up right?

Yeah, that's not what I want. I just want to turn off the annoying mouse-click sound when I open a folder, or when I click on something in IE. I want to keep all the other sounds, like I had before. It only started doing it this morning, and it's really annoying...

Disable the appropriate sound then ‘save sound scheme as’ , then apply this new scheme.

Hmmm, the trouble is, I don't know which sound it is that I need to disable. I can't see it anywhere in the list...

The sound event you want to get rid of is called Start Navigation, should be in the list.

lol, thnx for your help, it was Start Navigation, though I still have no idea how it turned itself back on...
