Annoying Stutter when WiFi card installed

Rather strange problem here, ive got a Linksys A+G PCI card and when its installed i get an annoying stutter when i play MP3s or videos in media player or play songs via my PC based CD+G karaoke system. Im using Vista 32 bit. Ive got the latest driver for the card and vista is up to date. Its deffo the card as the problem dissappears when its removed. Ive tried it in both PCI slots with the same result. Anything else i can try? I need the card as im moving the PC to a different room so it has to be wireless.

Am i likley to have the same issue with a different PCI or USB adaptor?
 
It may be related to Vista and IPv6.

How frequent is the stutter?

Maybe go into the wireless card properties and try disabling the IPv6 DHCP and so then using IPv4 only, that might work.

Or maybe think about updating the router firmware so that IPv6 can work better?

Think about setting the router to either a or g only??
