Annoying thing about Chrome

Does anyone else notice how sometimes when you install something it says google chrome must be closed even though its not open? It then often says it will force it close as its taking a long time to respond.

Anyone figured out why this is?

chrome might not have shut down properly?? if you see this error again, open task manager to see if there are any chrome processes running.

Chrome has a newish feature where it stays open in the bottom right notification area even when chrome is closed. You can exit it through there, or just quit the process.

If you want to change the default behaviour, you can go into "Settings > Show advanced settings," scroll down to "System" and uncheck the box "Continue running background apps when Google Chrome is closed."

If it didn't quietly run in the background even when closed how would it be able to monitor everything you do and report back to Google... MWahahahaahaha...
