Annoying usb keyboard problem

I have a usb saitek keyboard that stopped working when it was briefly unplugged and plugged back in. Now everytime reboot the keyboard will not work until it has reinstalled the driver....this usually needs some prompting by unplugging it and plugging it in again. Damned annoying that it worked perfectly for months and now has decided to develop problems....advice pls

Almost sounds like summat is fubared somewhere. My first port of call would be to uninstall the drivers in safe mode, completely power off and then let Windows re-recognise and reinstall the drivers.
Also have a look in the BIOS for settings related to USB keyboards- Is it possible something has been changed here?
