Annoying vista things!

Hi, does anyone know of a policy for turning off the user account control box that pops up asking you to confirm every time you want to do something like accessing the registry, giving permissions to a folder etc as it's really annoying! I've had a look through the policy settings but can't see anything obious that gives me the option! :confused:

No, but look for Tweak UAC. It will leave the PC more vunerable though.

Not if you put it in silent mode using tweak uac

Start -> Run: 'msconfig' -> Tools -> Disable UAC -> Launch -> Restart

Thanks paulhuk2, that's sorted it out a treat - no more annoying prompts for me now!!!
One more thing though.....is there any way of removing the balloon that pops up in the system tray telling me I need to check my security settings?

Yep, control panel, security, security centre. Theres an option in there saying "change the way security centre notifys me" i have them all off, tis annoying eh

Aah right.. I just thought it was a kinda reminder? I go off the basis of knowing i'm protected anyway
