This isn't really a problem- but it does still annoy me.

As many of you are aware windows 7 has a Wallpaper slideshow mode, Mine seems to have a slightly odd bug.

I set all of a folder to be the default Slide show that changes image every 20 mins. This is Saved as a theme and Gave a name and everything I should do (I'm not an idiot).

I believe this to be a bug but there are no answers to fix it elsewhere, every time I shut-down the next time I reboot and login it somehow changes the Slide show so that only one of the pictures is selected in the show (normally the last one that was displayed) and all the others become deselected.
I can fix it pretty easily by ticking select all again.
But this is only a temporary as this happens near enough every time I reboot.

It's not exactly a crippling bug (more just an annoyance) but it'd be nice if someone was aware of a more permanent solution.

I've had the same issue on my work PC, it was fine on my old one and has come about on the new one, so you're not alone!

I have a whole folder of pics but this doesnt happen to me. Did you navigate to the folder and selct all the pictures?

Have you tried creating a new account on your computer, and seeing if you can reproduce the problem? If you can't then it could be a corrupted profile.

as can be shown by the guy before - it doesn't seem to happen to everyone. Probably just a dodgy thing happened in install I dunno.

And yes I did navigate to the folder...As I said earlier I'm not stupid.

My apologies, I didn't mean it that way. What I meant was were all the pictures in the folder selected or just some. How about creating a new folder with a different name, copy your pictures to it and create a new theme using that and save it under a different name?
Also do you have any 'optimisation' software installed? I might be turning off the slideshow in a bid to make your pc faster

it seems it could be your theory cause the problem only happens on my main user.
the only optimization software I'm aware of is ati catalyst(it changed its name recently but i forget the new name) but that only turns on when games do

yo, in power options check it's not Paused... mine was, turned it on and hey presto it works ¬_¬
