Does anyone else get this?
My motherboard is an MSI x570 board with all standard updated drivers etc.
Anyway, in my sound settings in windows I have a few devices.
I have an old stereo that I plug into my motherboard sound output via 3.5mm audio jack.
I have bluebooth headphones.
I have very standard cheapo microhpone plugs in via 3.5mm audio jack.
I also have my monitor connected via DP1.4 cable and the monitor does have tiny crappy little speakers.
Anyway, when I connect up my headphones, the sound switches from my main (stereo (speakers Realtek audio)) speakers fine no problem. However sometimes (but not always) when I then disconnect them, my sound will start coming out of my monitor via the nvidia sound output.
Also sometimes (not always) just a fresh restart of windows, the sound defaults to my monitor.
I have gone into the sound settings in windows, found the monitor/nvidia sound, disabled the device, set my stereo speakers to the default device. And every now and then it all defaults back to the monitor, which magically becomes enabled again, by itself.
Why is it doing this?
Anyway to stop it?
