I have been trying various overclocks on this machine but the first picture I will post is a fairly modest one

CPU 250 x 13.5 = 3375MHz
MEM 250 x 6.66 = 1666MHz
HT and NB = 8 x 250 = 2000MHz

Reason is to see how the memory holds up at 1666 and try for more later.

Akasa apache at 1100rpm and thermalright 120 ultra doing the biz quietly

I can't tell whether your CPU is maxing 59c or 53c..
At any rate, be careful temperature wise lol.

It is maxing 52-53C currently with cores at 43C I left it running on prime for 6 hours after posting.

I am trying for a more rounded overclock with CPU and memory on a 24/7 cool and quiet setup, so I am probably not going to max anything out too seriously. CPU Fan speed of 1100rpm is enough for me

£150 for a CPU is not an event I want to do too often LOL.

Of some interest is the voltage, it is set at 1.4V in bios but 1.23V in cpuid?

The Akasa apache fan had me a bit worried as from a cold start, it does not spin up until the CPU temps are 46C then works normally. From a warm boot it spins up immediately. Is this normal?

has you got a gigabyte 8 series board, tmpin1 is the real cpu temp

Its TMPIN1 I am gauging my CPU temps on. I believe TMPIN2 is somewhere on the mobo but not the CPU socket. System temp? I have system bios warnings set for 60C and throttling down which has not happened yet.

The cores are not accurate but useful as an indicator.

Power supply fan is not spinning, but that is based on load (watts) not temperature.

tmpin2 is either case temp or the NB on the motherboard (not cpu-nb)

Seems high for a case temp, even though my case is not ideal, I have a 120mm intake fan and an 80mm exhaust fan, the exhaust feels quite cool.

If it is NB, I will experiment with a slightly lower voltage at stock speed.
