Another 19" or a widescreen?

Hi :)

I currently have a Viewsonic VX912 but I regularly find myself working with two or three programs/windows at the same time. Now this is what I'm thinking...

Another 19"
I get more desktop space with this as 2560x1024 > 1680x1050
I never buy top of the range graphics cards so the native resolution of 1280x1024 suits my gaming needs.

Widescreen
Movies look better but I rarely watch them.
Gives a more involving gaming experience.
Less clutter than two 19 inch TFTs and no TFT bezels down the middle.

I mainly use my computer to listen to music, learn Photoshop and web design, play games, browse the internet, download stuff and chat online.

Still 50/50 about which way to go so have I missed something that would affect my decision?

do both. get a widescreen monitor and dual it with your current 19". unless u want both screens the exact same. use the widesceen for games and movies and the 19" for desktop and the tools in photshop etc
 
Haha, that's exactly how it is. I'm a bit anal and would like either a single widescreen or two 19" that aesthetically the same. Last time I checked, the VX922 is around £180 from some place which is very tempting at the moment.
 
I had exactly the same decision and similar needs to you, and went for the second identical monitor. Thing that swayed it was being able to have my other computer on one display if required, or have either as dual screen :)

I went for another 19" in the end as I didn't want to buy a widescreen and face a shorter life span in terms of upgrades/game playability.
 
I was using a CRT along with my 19" before I bought my 2nd TFT and I agree with you!

Got an Ergotron stand too. Expect a mini review of it soon. :)
