This is my current monitor http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-034-BQ&groupid=17&catid=949&subcat=
And my systems warrents a far better one, so bf3 is my main game and i know a 120hz monitor is the way to go but as i am used to the above screen and no better, i am leaning towards an asus pb278q which should give me a dramatic increase in picture quality, but the question is will i regret buying a 120hz screen, what do you think and why?

System is 3770k and 2x7970, custom water loop

If you want 120 hz you will have to look at the Asus VG278H or Asus VG278HE (144 hz). As the PB278Q is not 120 hz or 3d, however it does have a higher resolution.

Yeah i know, this is why i posted link to my current monitor, i have never used a 120hz monitor, so would i miss it as the 278q really appeals with the higher resolution and i'm sure superior picture quality(against my benq)
4-500 notes is a lot of money and i want to make the right decision,

If your going 120hz/1440p remember you're going to either need to pick a monitor with native displayport or fork out for one of the active adaptors on your lightnings.

Yeah i'm on that ;), what you running mate? And what would you do?? Eyefinity is NOT an option for me.

Currently on an 23.6" Asus VG236H (might be HE or something, didn't come with 3d vision kit) running at 120hz with a driver modification to push 120hz over single link.

Eyefinity isn't an option for me either, but I'm waiting to see how the 21:9 monitors turn out as they seem a realistic alternative to eyefinity :)

It's nice not really having to mess about with vsync and everything feeling smoother and quicker.

Buying again I'd look at sammy or benq and buy which ever had native displayport :)
