Don't actually make many posts but I am today.
Bought a Sapphire Tri-X 290x earlier this week and got round to installing it last night and having issues that every time you boot you get black screen but monitors behave they are getting signal and on second display you can get the mouse cursor.
I have tried using DDU to remove all remnants of nvidia and then AMD as well. Used drivers 13.12 and 14.1 beta.
Different PCI-Express slots.
When no drivers are installed and it's a "Standard Vga Graphics Adapter" it works fine albeit one screen and be unusable once trying to run games.
System is in signature. But it all points to driver problem and seeing if a known fix is out there.
