One with HDDVD Built in and aimed more for the "media" side of console owners, sounds tasty, but annoying to those of us who have the add-on - sounds quite good none the less... if true

I always thought the Elite should have had the HD-DVD drive in it.

getting a bit tired of this HD-DVD and blu-ray war now, its too much hassle for a consumer (and potentially wasted money) to choose.

I really dont think this is a good idea, realistically the price i think will put a lot of people off especially if they already own a 360 and can just get an external HD-DVD rather than shelling out for a whole new system.

I dont think its something they should be focusing on for this current console. By the next gen hopefully things will be a lot clearer format wise and they can make a decision whether or not to include it then. It would put the console price up aswell and make a lot of people upset who have already upgraded from core/premium to elite and then face the prospect of another upgrade. I know its all optional but personally an internal drive is not an option I would choose when there are very good standalone players coming out around and below £200 with better features. Why cant HD-DVD focus on spending money on advertising and making people aware of the format, as upto this date I have seen or heard nothing, whereas pretty much every film advert on tv has "also available on bluray".
