My new 3700 SD seems to be running Prime quite happily at 2860MHz - HTT 260 !!! Abit AV8 3rd eye , stock volts, Gigabyte G-Power cooler, idle 31C, load 51C, memory at 215....

... happy days !!!

very good on stock volts. very good indeed.

What is the stock volts on that chip 1.35 - 1.4v?

:( I couldnt get mine to run above 2.6 on stock volts

I'm going to leave it running for a couple of hours to be sure. For the price I have to say that the 3700 seems to be hard to beat at the moment.

ive just stuck mine at 1.6 volts. Got to 42oc Max playing counter strike source, and that was clocked at 2751 :D

Gonna try and get 2.8 later.. but pc crashed last time :(

Just starting messing around with cpu again lol, i had HTT Running at over 300, with HTT X Frequency think at 4x So i think my hypertransport thing was unstable, i dropped it to 3 x and it seems fine :)

Here is the finished product :)

I can only get my 3700+ to 2.65ghz on stock volts and HSF... :(

Guess you got a good clocker there... :D

It ran Prime perfectly for just under 6 hours last night. Seems like the current batch of 3700 SD may be really good clockers.

I dont understand how to use prime 95 lol, i think i might need some help later please :)

I prefer to test the cpu using Counter Strike Source for a few hours :p

If its unstable, it ALWAYS Crashes...

I always refer people to this guide but that because it is so damned good.

It tells you how to run prime, set it up and where to get it from (just scroll down a bit).

Thanks man :)

Im gonna run prime 95 overnight and make sure she's stable.

Is 1.6 Volts ok, as long as temps are below 50oc ?

Yeah, shouldn't be a problem. But just be warey of putting much more than that through the CPU! Dont want the next post from you saying "Any good clocking second hand 3700SDs for sale?"

Enjoy you night of priming.

Agent. :D

monaco87, is it a KAB3E stepping 3700+? i bet it is, a friend got his to 3.2ghz on "cold" water, they have the cold bug though. not quite as flexible as an opty but still one of the best cheap single core athlons steppings so far.

ive got a friend who got a CAB3E its a real shame though... cause its sitting in a mobo at stock speeds

Is that with the 1.6V?

And give your mate a firm slapp for running a KAB3E on stock settings!! Tuh!

Not sure what stepping it is, don't want to disturb it to have a look now...

oh no dont do that, I'm almost 100% sure its a KAB3E 0547 GPMW anyway, you got a good athlon 64 cpu there! :)
