Been looking at getting a new card and ive been out of the "scene" for a while so I was wondering whats the best card to get?

I've currently got a X850 XT and its fine for what I do but I think its time for an upgrade...

I've seen the Gainwood one on offer this week but I have no clue about these next generation cards.

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers

lol... it does seem nice.

Does it matter what brand you go for or are they pretty much like for like?

They're pretty much identical as they are made to reference spec. I would just get the cheapest card, maybe pay a bit more for another one if it has a great warranty/bundle etc.. The 4850 is also a very good card tho, it will handle most games comfortably. *** resolution do you use?

I went for the sapphire as it had 2 year warranty.

Good enough for the lifespan of a GPU IMHO

what mob u have dont gimp 4870

Doesn't really matter @ 1680x1050 and below.

Moving from a PCI-e v1.0a mobo to a v2 mobo gave me less than 5% perf improvement with a 4870.

I play my games at the highest res of what my monitor/GPU can handle tbh. I'm a little worried about the size tho as ive got a micro ATX mobo inside a Sugo case.
