Hi Guys,

The time has come to get rid of my trusty ATI 5770.

I currently am really only looking to spend £250 on a new graphics card. I generally play a mixture of games from BF3 to SC2 and WOW.

Now i know my CPU might bottleneck on some games (AMD Phenom x4 * 4.0GHz) but it might be upgraded in the near future anyway.

Now the Kepler series seems like its going to be over that £250 price range - but the new 78** series seems to be a good choice - but is it £30 more than a 570 in terms of performance?

I play games at 1080 so not a massive resolution - but i would also like the card to be slightly more quieter than my hovercraft like 5770! :eek:

Any opinion is welcome and appreciative!
 
I would rather buy new tbh. I also have 2 screens that i use both 24" 1080 - so i dont know if i would benifit with more vram from the ATI cards?
 
In the same boat as the OP, think I'll just hang around for a 2nd hand 580 which seems to be the best choice.
 
Yeah i usially only use one screen to game. Okay ive seen on another site the cheapest kepler is £430! Wont be getting one of those! Looks like its a GTX570 or a 6970!
