Another 7900GS failure?

RMAd my card to ocuk when I started to get artifacts and tramlines playing games.

They checked it over, and sent it back saying that there was no problem evident.

What can I check within my system to see why I'm getting these issues, or does it need to go back to ocuk again with a stronger line about repair/replacement?

Do the artifacts start after you've been playing games for a while or are the immediate.

Cards often artifact when they get to hot, if airflow has changed in you case or you've turned up the heating or even put the PC in a new confined space the case time could rise to the point where the card has artifacts..

Download Rivatuner and enable the GPU temperature monitoring.

Should give you an idea if you card is running real hot.

Most failing GeForce 7900's showed serious artifacting or lockups in 3DMark06's Deep Freeze test. Download and install 3dmark06. If it happens, you have proof that the card's a dud.

Decto: I've stopped playing any games for now, since there is nothing but corruption almost right from the start.

Using Atitool, the artifacts show up within 7 seconds, with the card still relatively cool at 47':

it just continues to increase on "xxxxx pixels don't match".

After 11 seconds, it reaches 48'. I don't think temperature is the problem here.

Given these figures, I'm not sure how ocuk can say that the card is ok. Anybody know what tests they conduct so that I can replicate them and see where the failing may be?
