Hey everyone

I'm looking to upgrade my case for a few reasons :

  1. My Case at the moment doesn't look sleek in anyway shape or form
  2. It's noisy as anything and that is a tad annoying
  3. I'm running out of room in it

I was looking at getting the Lian-li V1000Z but there are a few things preventing me from getting it, and also my computer is really getting on and I'm wondering whether it's worth getting a new case.

Basically my current case is this one

I have loved it for so long, but I've grown out of the pretty glowing look lol

I have 2 IDE Hard Drives, and one SATA Hard drive, an Akasa Fan controller a DVD Write and a CD-Rom Drive, although I'd probably lose the fan controller and CD-Rom Drive.

The back I have a 2 x USB and Firewire Panels, a TV Card, Graphics Card & Wireless Card.

There are 3 x 80mm fans in there as well causing all the noise.

The problem with the lian-li v1000Z is that the hard drive brackets are SATA Hot Swap drives so I'd only use one of them till I add extra drives.

Anyway give me you advice on what you think I should do, budget is about £150 and I'm not a massive fan of the akasa cases. I know they are probably amazing (I've always bn impressed with akasa products) but Im not too keen on the look of them.

Lol I can imagine that it wouldn't be too hard to beat this case

I was going to ask in another thread bradley if you could send me details on where I could get some braid and heatshrink from? Also what do you use to heat the heatshrink, I have always just used a soldering iron tip but that leads to not too nicer results? My e-mail is [email protected]

I have just spotted the PC-A77 in black, only concern is whether the panel on the front can have the light turned off, whether the case will be that quiet if I fitted some better fans and 3, how does the audio connectors on the top panel fit?

Anyone have anythin to say about the PC-A77?

Audio just plugs into the mobo i think like all lians. Email sent. As for the light its the power light? if so the hdd light, power light can both just be unplugged separately from the mobo if desired.

Sorry I wasn't very clear about that, I meant the blue black light on the fan controller display thing.

I know its stupid but if I could get to a point where I could have my computer on without noticing it that would be a massive plus
