Another Another Headset Question

Ive searched the forums and have a basic idea that for better quality sound, the 5.1 headsets are OK, but maybe not as good as some other headsets.

However, I'm still a little undecided on which road to go down. I'm going to be getting a new Asus Zonar soundcard D2X / D2, as my razer soundcard is a little broke and I don't like the barracuda headset either, cos its fell to bits and has NO BASE.

So. I see that the Sennheiser PC350 Pro-Gaming Headset is on offer. I could get these as they will be fine, but would a cheaper Headset and clip on mic be better.

Also I see that some of the sterio headsets only have one jack connection or what ever it is, where as my old Medusas had more.

How does this work with the Xonar having lots of holes to plug things into?

Any ideas on what the sound will be like for Gaming / Misic using an alternative to the Sennheiser PC350 Pro-Gaming Headset?

Bit long winded, but i'm looking for options and opinions from people who have this soundcard and play games :D

Cheers

I ended up getting the DR150's Goldring with a desk mic....

I posted a thread, but no one was interested. I'm very happy with the 150 goldrings. The sound is much better than my razer barracudas and medusas. However, the bass is a bit crap, but you get used to it and really. High bass is overated.

The 5.1 dolby settings work on the xonar DX, but I can actually hear more things just setting it to "music" in games.

CSS, Crysis and Farcry2 for me all play batter in "normal music mode" with the xonar and the DR150 Goldring. I can still hear what direction everything is coming from and it cuts out every sound you "don't need to hear" when you have dolby 5.1 enabled. sometimes you can just have too much sound in games and it distracts you.
