Thanks to MarkeR OCUK and others have a Domination server to play on!
I suggest people jump on when they can and try and complete the sub missions to get points or kill enemies, cos they'll be all jelous when they see me flying over doing bombing runs in the A10 mwahaha.... Just incase your wondering to look at you score press T then 1. You need 120 points to be major to fly the jets
So…. Like others after playing dayz I fancied giving Arma 2 another blast, last time I hated it. I think at the time didn’t like the steep learning curve and truthfully couldn’t be bothered to learn the mechanics.
However I feel dayz acts as a great introduction tool on how to play Arma that and with Arma 3 looking so dam good thought now is the time to get in to it….. The past few weeks I’ve been playing on NICE-team.eu servers playing domination. I’ve played some on MarkeR’s server but tbh I find Domination the quickest and easiest way to learn and get the most out of the game.
So I thought I’d post this thread in hope of seeing a few of the OCUKer’s on the server some time. Would be great if MarkeR changed the mode on his…. A few of my TFU guys have been playing together. I know for a fact that we’ll be looking to get an Arma 3 server and direct our clan down that route.
Domination on nice-team.eu servers, it’s basically capturing the flag only there are multiple areas’ you need to cap. Each round has 21 cities that need to be taken. To find where the AO (area of operation) is just open the map and look for the red large circles. To get there either listen out for pilots giving lifts to the AO or simply go to the flag poles at spawn and click teleport to mobile HQs. The MHQ are put down by players. More often than not a CH chopper will need to lift one near the AO…. Anyways, once at the AO first thing you need to do is take down the radio tower, this can be done by an insertion team with C4 or blasting it from air or ground vehicles. The radio tower acts as a call for reinforcement for the AI enemy so unless you can take this out first then its going to be difficult to take the bunkers (flags).
Ofc you select your class on entry but must be in team speak if you want to fly. There are only limited things you can fly at start as you need to get your rank up. You rank up by taking out enemy in the AO, capping area's and other things such as transport to the AO or lifting wrecks and dropping them at base. However once all 21 cities are taken which usually takes a few days your rank will reset as too with the server. There are a number of side missions you can do with your buddies such as steal a protype plane from the enemy or stop the transport of arm’s across the city etc etc… Great fun and tactics and intel need to be gathered.
So the offers there for all…. If any of you fancy jumping on and working in a team you’re welcome on our mumble
One question I’d like to ask is does anybody have a link with a solid list on how to make points in domination? Cant find a list anywhere?
