I think you either get them or don't get them, I only found out about them recently after someone on here posted a link, apparently they've been 'popular' for ages.

What makes me LOL about them occasionally is that the animation, music and word art is so crappy looking just to add to the funnyness, apparently the idea behind making one is to get an idea across using as little animation/music as possible.

The Picard one I posted is just so ridiculously random, I love it

that's kind of the point of the site.

They're only out of sync if your connection loads one element too slow, refreshing the page sorts it out 9 times out of 10.

LOL. For those who don't know, it's also a parody of Ludacris' 'Area Codes' (similar music, same lyrics). It's pretty amazing how they found snips of speech to fit the lyrics - unless he blatently quoted the line from Ludacris (or vice-versa).

YTMND was the fad before YouTube and is still damn funny.
