Well it turns out a rather extended family has taken up residence in the eaves of our roof. They get in through the gap between the top of the wall and the roof, and are enjoying life somewhere just inside.

It's not causing me too much distress, just 10-15 coming and going during rush hour.

I've confirmed they are just bumblebees, nothing special.

Assuming they don't annoy my neighbours too much, am I right in saying I can let them live there most of the summer, they will disappear and if I block the gap they should not come back next year?

Any other alternative either involves killing them or spending a lot of money to get them re-housed.

Thanks for any advice.
