Another big fat wedding thread. (Pic heavy)

Cheers everyone! :)

@Mp4
If the camera's metering is linked to the AF points, then there shouldn't be any need to shoot full manual as you spend too much time chimping. I use spot metering 90% of the time.
If the focus points are not linked and you have to use the exposure lock button, and also if you focus recompose, then shooting full manual is a more compelling argument.

^^^
Then you wouldn't be my client, but then who steals web res pics of someone else's wedding?
I would also check your monitor if you are seeing overexposure. Some cheap monitors will show blown highlights instead of detail (even at same brightness), not sure if calibrations helps them though.

WTF? So you wasn't saying I shouldn't be posting pictures on this public forum, even though they are freely viewable on my blog which is itself public, and they will likely be featured on a national wedding blog (with the B&G's permission of course).

Anyway I'm done, it's always the same BS from a few.

No one said they didn't like the photos, jonney infact said quite the opposite. If you don't want opinions on anything, don't post on a public forum.

You seem fixated on the issue being critique. The is being told I shouldn't be posting my images here. My wedding photography is about telling a story, not a hand full of images.

Look at blogs like rock my wedding, they include 100 images. Is that not professional either?

uhh... whether the pictures are good/bad is irrelevant. If someone shares their work and posters tell them they don't think they should be posting it, do you think they are going to want to;
a)keep it up
b)post any more

Anyway that's all I got to say about it.

Thanks for sharing these Rhys.
Bloody good work and I'm sure that the clients are very happy.

My one crit would be the 'tilt shift' style shot, I hate them but I know that some love them and can understand why you would use it.

Cheers mate, yeh tilt-shift or TS 'effects' seem to be very marmite, so I only apply it occasionally to certain compositions.

Gorgeous photos mate!

Was one of the guests who kept leaning in to film the ceremony prove to be annoying at all?

Thanks Sam. Yes during the ceremony it was a little annoying, however I didn't notice him much after that.
