Another blue screen thread

Hi basically was watching youtube vids and randomly my pc blue screens.

the bug code was 0x000000fe
the BSOD dump references USBPORT.sys

the only changesz that have been made was the addition of a 7870 but the bluescreen doesnt reference the g-card and it has been working fine in games for about 2 days. The only other change was i switched cases from a Zalman Z9 to a corsair carbide 300r could the usb3 port on the front be anything to do with this although at the time they weren't in use any thoughts?

Try using BlueScreen Viewer, it makes the dump files readable and usually points to what caused it.

could be usb related,i would look on gigabytes website and find your mb model and update all the drivers for your board and flash to the latest bios

then see if its any better

well the motherboard gave me no problems in the last case so i assume it has to be the usb3 ports, i did look at the bsod viewer and thats what it threw me out in my OP

yeah you might need the latest driver for it,latest bios would help aswell

I have no issue like that with my front usb3 port on a gigabyte z77x up4 th
