Hello all...here's what I am after:

For the gaming machine:

An Intel 2011 CPU
AIO Cooler for CPU
X99 mobo
16GB DDR4 RAM
Suitable case to house a 295x2 GPU

For the main PC:
Either i3 or i5 1150 CPU (I make YouTube vids, so something that can handle video compression and such)
Z97 mobo (ideally mATX)
AIO cooler for CPU
Mid-range AMD GPU (not bothered if it's 200 or 300 range)
Suitable mATX style case
16GB DDR3 RAM

Budget:

Gaming: Between £700 and £800
Main PC: Around £500

Both machines are still running i7 920 CPUs. And I have to say, to last this long after nearly 7 years is impressive!

So hit me with your baskets, please! (Not too hard, mind!)

Would it not be better to build a single pc for £1300 and use it for both situations ? Or do you need them to be separate ?

Correct! :) Got a 900w PSU in the gaming machine and a 750w in the main PC. Both machines have SSDs as well as HDD in the main PC only.

I prefer them to be separate, please. It's better that way. As I like to multitask and I also use the main PC as a Plex server.
 
And the PSU and drives are suitable for this (powerful enough for the 295X2 and all SATA drives).

Definitely want an AIO cooler. I have one already in both machines and they conserve a lot more space than an air cooler does.

I wanted to ask...do you guys do any sort of price matching at all? The Zalman H1 full tower case looks really good for the gaming machine. But I have seen it £20 cheaper elsewhere.
