Another broken game released

Unlocked Dark Messiah today. It looks really good, but load times are ridiculous, and it just keeps freezing up. A quick scan of google and you can see everyone is having problems - its riddled with bugs. I basically can't play it until its fixed.

Why can't software be tested before its released? :confused:

happens a lot and it sucks, but suppose thats a plus side to buying over steam: free and easy fixes/updates

Hmm well its fine here. Great game, shame u can't get it to run. I do occasionally get a few seconds worth of lag when starting a new chapter but thats it.

Steam messes it up. If you had the demo installed, the full game thinks the sound files are up to date, when in fact they are not. When you run the full game some of the dialog comes out as static noise.

To fix it you have to do a verify on the cache files, then you have to download another 1.5 gigs of content.

I don't think I'll bother buying another game over steam unless there's no other choice. Its been too much grief for me between HL2 and this.

Glad to hear that

Its annoying, cause I figure I'm using fairly standard hardware.
