Another Broken Xbox!

My last Xbox broke after 1 year and my new one has now done the same.

Put the disk into the drive and it kept coming up open tray, so i punched it with Rage and now the disk drive won't fully close.

I've got warrenty with the place i got it from and it should also have microsoft warrenty. Only problem is i don't have the reciept. Should the matter when i take it back?

I need to try and get the disk tray to close otherwise they will probably notice ive took some anger out on it :rolleyes:

I really get surprised how many people have their consoles die so early, i have one of the original 360's (20GB HDD White, no hdmi etc) think it is dated 2005, and it still runs fine. never had a problem with it, luck i guess

good luck with warranty, i had a 360 i thought was in warranty with MS only to find out it ran out 3 months earlier... i only owned it for around 8 months too

Current Xbox is 1 month old and its already stopped reading disks!

Going to take it back to Game as i took warrenty out with them, hopefully they will swap it over.

I'd suggest not punching it with rage, that helps with the life span so I hear

Worries me slightly as i'm eyeing up a slim just to replace the sheer noise of mine, sounds like they drop like fly's though lol

my slim has been running flawlessly. im no longer afraid to game for a few hours at a time!

Punching it was a pretty dumb thing to do wasn't it.

I had the same problem, took mine apart and changed the laser and its been going for another year rock solid
