So, I'm building a new computer and wondered what you guys thought of my setup.
Will mainly be used for gaming. Would like it to be cheaper (it's £629, including postage) so is there anything I replace to make it cheaper but not harm power too much?

Was thinking about jumping down to the AMD Phenom II X3 Tri Core 720 Black Edition 2.80GHz (Socket AM3) - Retail, as I don't really think I need the X4.
How come the Phenom II's aren't available OEM?

Any advice would be greatly welcome!
Ignore the Windows 7, as I've found I can get that for £30.

Thanks!

change the gu to a 5770 better for minimal extra cost will last you longer
change the hdd to samsung f3 you can have a 1tb version for almost same money and its better
you saving money on windows 7 if so keep the cpu and maybe get a better case one with filters
rest looks fine though
and good luck

Didn't really want to splash out on the 1TB. I didn't want to spend over £500 really, and this is hitting £600. Hear what you are saying about the GFX card, I'll do that.

Maybe drop down a motherboard or two? Asus M4A785TD-V Evo AMD 785G, or is this a foolish place to skimp on?

I think I'm just going to have to try and get another £100 or so from somewhere. Casino tomorrow maybe!
