Hello,

Another build idea I have using an mATX case. I have no budget per se, just looking at the best possible components to squeeze into a small case. This PC will be for 4k gaming.

Phanteks XT M3: One of the best mATX cases I've seen. Front and bottom fans and not as wide as other dual-chamber cases.
AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D: Best gaming CPU, apparently.
MSI MAG B850M MORTAR WIFI: Good features but most importantly, the GPU is in the top slot which makes it easier to install bottom intake fans.
Palit GamingPro OC GeForce RTX 5080: Short and with the above motherboard, should allow for ample fan clearance.
TRYX PANORAMA ARGB: Asetek liquid cooler but a bit pricey. I like the panoramic screen, though.
Noctua NF-A12x25 PWM Chromax Black: Expensive but supposedly quiet fans. They come with grey swappable corners that actually match the fans in the AIO nicely.

Overall, I like the black aesthetic with minimal lighting but interested to see where I could improve. The PSU, for instance, is probably not the best.

My basket at OcUK:

Total: £2,998.73 (includes delivery: £11.98)

I’d definitely go the other way. 5080 with an AIO and air cooler for the chip. The 5080 produces silly amounts of heat but the CPU hardly any.

Now I'm home:

The 9800X3D does not require a triple fan AiO, however a £50 Thermalright AiO would work just as well if not better than the insanely priced £330 model you linked.

You can get W11 keys for less than £20, spending retail on it is barmy given you don't even need to activate it to run games, you only lose minor functionality.

The motherboard I linked is ample, you'll see no performance difference between it and the mortar in gaming.

The T500 is cheaper and still a fantastic drive, again you'll not notice the difference between the two in real world use.

The case I linked supports very long GPU's and doesn't need additional fans to be purchased, the RGB/Lighting can be turned off if not wanted/required.

The 5090 is an order of magnitude faster than the awfully priced 5080, it's not even close, the 5080 isn't much faster than the 5070ti or last gens 5080S despite the hefty markup.

32GB of RAM is ample for the majority of games, but there's no harm in getting 48-64gb for the odd niche title/mods and longevity, just don't get hung up on C30 as X3D chips really don't care all that much.

If you've a £3000 budget and 4K game you'd really need to be a bit nuts to opt for a 5080 while buying price inflated components for other things.
